I have 4 external compartments, 2 internal pockets, and 2 micro-mesh water bottle holders. In addition to all my compartments, I also have 2 adjustable side straps and 2 adjustable bottom straps to secure whatever else you may need to carry.

I own the Slinger, but unfortunately with Corona, it wasn't big enough so I needed a new backpack. I figured, I love DimeBags so much, might as well scoop up a DB back pack. So I did! But when it arrived it had this smell to it. It smelled like a damp basement. They told me to just buy another one at a discount and unfortunately that one showed up with the same smell. So now I have 2, but the good news is, a quick wash in the Tub and they're both back to perfect condition with 0 Dank Smell. The bad dank though, not that good Dank smell LOL I love these bags. They're excellent and well crafted. I'm a huge DB freak. Haha
Hey Michael, Thanks so much for your feedback! Oh, no! We sincerely apologize about the smell! That is just due to being shipped in a container over seas and sitting in their packaging until they're ready for an order! We occasionally find a couple of bags get that container scent trapped in there. We suggest turning the bag inside-out and putting it into your dryer on low heat for 10 minutes with your fav fabric softer sheet! Be sure to check your email for a little surprise from our team!
